Hi!
I am Georgia Fisher.
I am currently 18 years old, attending Charles Sturt University in Bathurst studying a Bachelor of Communications, hoping to specialise in News & Media next year! Although I am currently in Bathurst, my home town is Wagga Wagga. I have lived everywhere from Cairns to Melbourne, but I will always call Wagga home.
I am very family orientated with a strong connection to my Mum, Dad and little Brother. Included in this family, of course, are my two dogs! I enjoy my time hanging around the house and spending time with the people I love.

Here is My Story:
At mere 11, I decided the rest of my future as I was to become the next Today Show Host. Quickly realising Channel 9 wouldn’t hire an 11 year old (whose only experience was pretending in my bedroom with a toy microphone and reporting on the drama at my local school), I decided to wait, and in the mean time keep pretending.
Moving onto 14, where I think I emailed and Instagram direct messaged every Journalist I could think of, asking if they had any work experience available or internships they knew of. Of course, not many replied and the ones who did told me I was too young. I didn’t give up, because by 15 I was completing work experience at my local Southern Cross Austereo in both the Radio and TV sectors.
In my decision on which University to attend, again I emailed and reached out to every Journalist I could think of, for them to aid with my decision. It was December when Allison Langdon kindly reached out, which motivated me to follow her journey at Bathurst Charles Sturt University, studying Communications.
In my first week at University, I have landed myself a job at the local 2BS and BRock Station with Bathurst Broadcasters, as the morning show producer. All because of my passion for the industry that ultimately led me to email every media company in town…
And now I am here! Part-time Producer at 2BS and studying full time!
